210 Freeway Accident Involves Truck, Bus and Car, Injures Drivers

On March 30, 2010, three vehicles, including a semi-truck, bus and car all crashed on the 210 freeway injuring all three drivers of the vehicles.  The morning rush hour car, truck and bus accident at Sierra Madre Boulevard caused serious traffic delays until the accident was cleared.  The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was called to investigate the cause of the three vehicle wreck.  Fortunately, the the Southland Transit bus, an MTA subcontractor, was empty, except for the driver, at the time of the collision.

Injuries suffered by the truck driver were severe resulting in the truck driver being rushed to a local emergency room.  He was reported to be in critical condition shortly after the accident.  The other drivers of the car and bus were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  The report is that the accident was so severe that the semi-trailer’s cab became separated from the rest of the truck and the cab and trailer suffered serious damage.  The trailer rolled down an embankment at Sierra Madre Boulevard.
