Left Turn Collision in Apple Valley California

This accident, like so many others involving left turn collisions, are sudden and can be serious. In nearly every instance, an intersection or head-on collision is the result of one or both drivers violating a traffic law which are designed to keep the vehicles from colliding with each other. One of those laws, entitled: Left Turn or U-Turn. That code basically says that a vehicle making a left turn must yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching in the opposite direction and a left or U-turn must not be made unless it is reasonably safe to do so. Once the left turn driver has properly yielded to the other vehicles, then it begins its left turn, all other vehicles must then yield to the turning vehicle until it completes its turn and it is safe to continue.

Left Turn Driver at Fault for Injuries in Car Accident

In most instances, the vehicle making a left-hand turn when there is not sufficient clearance to do so will be found at fault for causing the collision. In turn, the driver who is at fault will then become responsible for the injuries caused to those involved in the accident. A thorough investigation of the accident, its causes, the damages caused in the traffic collision and the available insurance to help pay for all the damages are all an initial starting point to help the injury victims find relief if that is ever possible.
