On April 29, 2012, the 23 year old young life of George Deirkarkourian was ended by a drunk driver on the 60 freeway.  The accident occurred when the traffic along the 60 freeway in Diamond Bar slowed down for a road closure around the Brea Canyon Road exit on the eastbound 60 freeway.  The drunk driver, Sheng-Ting Shih and his passenger, did not slow down and the 2012 BMW Shih was driving slammed into the rear of the Deirkarkourian car sending his Ford into two other vehicles.  The Daily Bulletin reported this accident on April 29.

Drunk driving accidents cause tens of thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries in the United States every year.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states the following: "Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 48 minutes.  The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $51 billion."

If you have suffered injuries from a drunk driver, or any other accident, in Diamond Bar, Pomona, Chino, Ontario, or any other Inland Valley city, you should consult with a personal injury law firm, such as the Inland Empire Law Group, to secure all your legal and financial rights from a drunk driver and that driver’s insurance company.  For more information regarding drunk driving see, MADD.
